To complete your registration, fill out the below Material Submission Form. Simply begin filling out the form and all of the required fields will open up for you as you go along.
Material is due as soon as you are ready but no later than 9:00 am PT on the date of the session. We can not guarantee that material received after this deadline will be reviewed.
During the session, the executive will read the opening pages of your script for 10 minutes. You will not be present.
You may upload your entire script, or at least the first 20 pages. Please title your file as follows: "Your Name - PROJECT TITLE - Script". This form will accept attachments of PDF files ONLY.
While including your bio is not required, we do recommend it so that if the exec does want to have a look, it's available to them.
If you notice an error in your submission or need to submit revised material, you are free to do so up until the deadline and must email coordinator@roadmapwriters.com with the change in order to do so.
You'll receive a feedback report on your read via email within 7-10 business days following the session unless otherwise notified.
Please ensure you are familiar with our Code of Conduct prior to participating in any Roadmap Writers session or program.

Hey there! Here's how all this works...
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE! Click the blue "Open Form" button up there on the upper right to open a new window exclusive to this submission. If you try to work out of this Workspace, you may lose your notes if you click onto a different submission or refresh the page before submitting the form.
Below you will find the information the writer entered about themselves and their project, followed by a link to view the PDF of their screenplay, and finally form fields for you to fill in with your feedback.
Please have a gander at what the writer wanted to know about their project (title, logline, their bio, etc...) which will all be presented to you as you scroll down from here, until you will arrive at...
The bright blue hyperlink. The title of the link might be bonkers, but don't worry! It's just the script you're supposed to read, so go ahead and click it! This will open the PDF up in a new window. *If the writer submitted any material in addition to the script, you are welcome (but not required) to have a look at it as well.
When you get to the bottom of the writer's submission, you will find the section labeled READER FEEDBACK. This one's for you!
Start by reading the script for 10 minutes (we recommend setting a timer on your phone). The writer may have uploaded a full or partial screenplay, but you are only required to read for 10 minutes, regardless.
Then, follow the instructions to proceed to fill out your ratings and feedback.
When you are satisfied with your ratings & feedback, click "Submit Form." That's it!
Your feedback is due within 5 Business Days of the scheduled session. If you can not complete your feedback in this time frame, please let us know immediately.
Honorariums are issued on the 1st & the 15th of each month. If this is your first session with Roadmap, you'll need to provide payment info that will be requested of you via email following the completion of your session.

Please assess each of the below elements to the best of your ability on a scale of Excellent, Good, Average, Needs Improvement, or Poor and give a brief explanation of your rating. Please note that unless otherwise indicated, your ratings and comments will be seen by the writer.
Please comment on at least 3 different aspects of both What Worked and What Could Be Improved.
Examples of Appropriate Feedback:
What Worked: Very interesting and timely concept. The pitch was very clear and concise. I think Jane Doe has a nice, relaxed manner about her pitch, which was very helpful in telling the story of a mother and daughter reconnecting after years of being estranged. Also, great use of the characters’ arcs and motivations to show how their actions drive the narrative forward.
What Could Be Improved: That said, I felt that the pitch could lean more into the themes of family and forgiveness instead of giving me all the little details of the plot. Those themes are universal, so don’t be afraid to explore how these universal themes are used to tell your story. Try to stick to the broad elements of the plot instead of bogging down the pitch with extraneous details. Also, I feel like the story itself needs more of a distinctive hook to stand out among the other competing projects of this genre.
The following responses will NOT be seen by the writer. If there's anything you'd like us to know about this session, script, or writer that is for our eyes only and not to be returned to the writer, let us know here! Please be candid - we love inside info & insight on how best to serve individual writers.
